Iberia Parish Deputies Trying To Identify Aggravated Rape Suspect

The Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office is trying to find the man responsible for a home invasion and aggravated rape that happened in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 31.

Detectives say the victim told them the suspect came into her home, armed with a gun and sexually assaulted her.  The man then ran away.

The victim described the suspect as a black male, about 6 feet tall with a slim build, dark complexion, short black hair and brown eyes.  The woman says he had on a white muscle shirt, dark colored basketball-type shorts that had a white stripe along with white socks with slippers.  She says the man appeared to be 17 to 20 years old.
