Isa Muhammad's career is over just as quickly as it started. The Maybach Music Group artist, who was signed after impressing Rick Ross with a freestyle on the street, said he's quitting music.

"I'm not making anymore music. This my one and only album," he wrote on Twitter today (Jan. 5). "I retire from music. Not because it ain't goin how I want. But because music is forbidden in Islam and because music is not apart of my plan."

In December, Muhammad made his official debut with a mixtape titled Diabolical Bastard Billionaire Genius. The project showed a lot of promise, but it appears that fans won't have the opportunity to hear more from the talented MC.

"Still Isa Muhammad. Nothing's changed," he continued. "I'm just not gone be rapping anymore. On to the next play. If someone buys me out of my contract or they drop me from the label than I may continue, I'd need a very large contract like 4.5 million. I ain't tripin I accomplished what I sat out to do, which I was make a classic album."

Although Muhammad originally claimed he wasn't retiring due to his dealings with Rick Ross and Maybach Music Group, he contracted himself in subsequent statements. The MC spoke negatively of MMG and said they insulted him.

"Some of the things I be rapping about prolly are to controversial for Ross & MMG to support," he wrote. "I don't want to be signed to MMG any more. They insulted me with how they treated me, given my performance. Like I said I'm not even thinking about music at all, I've moved on. Seriously I've made other plans. I'm on that Lauryn hill one album shit."

Rick Ross has not commented on the situation at this time. XXL will provide our readers with any updates as we learn more.
