Shreveport Officially Welcomes 50 Cent And G-Unit Studios With Huge Celebration
The Eyes Of The Entertainment World Are Now Focused On Shreveport As Mogul 50 Cent Officially Launches HIs Highly Anticipated G-Unit Studios.
Excited residents and fans of hip hop mogul Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson gathered in front of Government Plaza on Thursday for a big celebration and press conference where the rapper was welcomed to Shreveport by city officials.
He spoke about his plans for productions and jobs.
The city rolled out the red carpet on Thursday with celebrations downtown that went on into the night.Jackson signed his lease agreement with the City of Shreveport to establish G Unit Studios at the former Millennium Studios downtown.
Jackson said he wants Shreveport to be a “beacon of entertainment in the south.” He thanked city officials and the public for his great welcome and shared his vision moving forward.
Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux also proclaimed Thursday, April 18th, 2024, as Curtis 50 Cent Jackson Day in Shreveport.
All throughout the momentous day for 50, he kept fans updated on the celebration on social media but first he released renderings and photos of what G-Unit Studios will look like once he begins the facilities renovations.
50 has also put the industry on notice that the Louisiana city is going to be the place to be with the hashtag #AllRoadsLeadToShreveport on social media and lots of folks are taking notice as his plans take shape.
He's Already Got A Big Event Weekend Planned For The City Soon.
While he hasn't released complete details, Jackson plans to bring something called "Humor and Harmony" Weekend to the city this summer and he says he plans to bring some "big talent" through.
