Beachgoers in Navarre Beach, which isn't very far from Destin, Florida, reeled in a nice size bull shark as many watched.

While many are still enjoying the beach this summer, sharks are still out there lurking and these photos are a good reminder that these large sharks aren't far from where you may be swimming.

Of course, we know that sharks are out there, but to see one reeled in is still quite the spectacle.

According to a post on social media, the young men who caught the bull shark brought it to shore and then released it.

Many on the social media page that documented the catch and release applauded the young men after witnessing this catch and release.

In recent years we have seen more and more large sharks move closer to shore and many suspect that they are just following the smaller fish closer to the beaches or that they are being lured in by fishermen.

In Navarre Beach, there is a large pier where fishermen are present around the clock. And yes, some very large sharks have been caught off the pier in Navarre.

Check out these photos of the shark that was caught in the late afternoon hours, around "feed time," in Navarre Beach, FL.

LOOK: Here are the 50 best beach towns in America

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

Keep reading to see if your favorite beach town made the cut.
