(99.9 KTDY) - Imagine you are in your bed and suddenly something slams into your room. This was the situation for one young man in Slidell when police say an alleged drunk driver drove into a home and straight into the bedroom of the teenager.

Drunk Driver Crashes Into Slidell Teen’s Bedroom

Amazingly, the teen was not killed when the Nissan Altima ended up in the middle of his bedroom. It's a crazy scenario to think of; you are just in your bed, and all of a sudden, a car crashes down the way to your bedroom.

Based on the pictures provided by the Slidell Police Department, it is truly a miracle that this teenager, who was sleeping at the time, was not killed in this incident.

Slidell DWI Crash Sends Car Into Teen’s Room

According to Slidell Police Department officials, the person who is allegedly responsible for the car chaos was still there when they got on the scene. They also say the young man was visibly intoxicated. They arrested 20-year-old Alec Dillon of Slidell on the following charges:

• 2nd Offense DWI
• Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
• Vehicular Negligent Injuring
• Driving Under Suspension
• Open Container

Teen Rearranged Furniture in Bedroom Recently

The scene could have played out very differently for the 13-year-old. Officials with the Slidell Police Department say the young man had recently rearranged the furniture in his bedroom. Thank goodness! Things could have ended in tragedy!!
