Louisiana, Get Ready For PEEPS’ Wild New Flavors This Easter

(99.9 KTDY) - For those in Louisiana who love the little marshmallow bunnies known as PEEPS, get ready for three new flavors for 2026. The makers of PEEPS are premiering three new flavors for the Easter 2026 season.

If you don't know what a marshmallow Peep is, then you have been living under a rock in Louisiana.

The tasty and colorful treats have been gracing Easter baskets for decades, and each year the company comes out with new, outrageous concoctions, and this year will be no exception.

The first Peeps made their debut in 1923, and since that time, they have been adored by children across Louisiana and the globe.

The creator of Peeps was a candy maker by trade named Sam Born, and he was responsible for more than just the marshmallow treats. He was a chocolatier in New York City, and according to the Peeps website,

A candy maker by trade, Born was responsible for many innovations including the technology to produce chocolate sprinkles, known as Jimmies; the hard chocolate coating used for Eskimo Pies....

What a history of bringing delicious candy to the public. Peeps has announced three new flavors for 2026.

PEEPS Has a Sweet and Spicy Addition for Easter This Year

Are you ready for PEEPS Chili Lime Mango Flavored Marshmallow Chicks? As one of this year's new offerings, the creation is debuting.

When it comes to the new creation, here is what the PEEPS official says,

....available only at Kroger, delivers a sweet-meets-tangy kick that adds a bold flavor fusion to Easter traditions.

If you are looking for PEEPS Chili Lime Mango Flavored Marshmallow Chicks, there are Kroger stores in the following five Louisiana cities:

• Alexandria
• Bossier
• Lake Charles
• Shreveport
• Sulphur

PEEPS Unveils the New PEEPS SUNNYD Flavored Marshmallow Chicks

What? A PEEPS candy that is flavored like SUNNYD is now a reality. Much like the lime-flavored ones above, the SUNNYD flavored candy chicks will only be available at one retailer.
