Louisiana Student Dies After Medical Emergency on Campus

Some sad news is coming out of Ascension Parish this week as a student has passed away after experiencing a medical emergency on a middle school campus.

WBRZ reports that an eighth-grade student passed away at a hospital after a medical emergency on the campus of Dutchtown Middle School.

The school announced that grief counselors would be on campus for those students affected by the sudden passing.

The name of the student has not been released at this time. We extend our thoughts and prayers to the kid's family and friends during this very difficult time.

In a letter sent to parents from the school here's what they are saying:

"It is with profound sadness that we inform you of the passing of one of our students. This loss is deeply felt across our entire school community. Our thoughts and prayers are with the student's family during this incredibly difficult time. As we come together to support one another, our priority is to offer care and compassion to all who are affected—especially our students, teachers, and staff. To provide additional support, grief counselors will be on campus tomorrow. They will be available to assist anyone who may need help processing this tragic loss. Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we navigate through this challenging time."
