LSU Baseball Player Says NCAA Wouldn’t Play His Walk-Up Song at World Series
(Baton Rouge, Louisiana) - The LSU Tigers Baseball team is celebrating its eighth National Championship, but we're learning more about their experience in Omaha.
While the Tigers hoisted the trophy once again to proclaim they're the best team in college baseball, one player is shedding light on something fans may not have been aware of while the Tigers competed in Omaha.
When players go up to the plate to bat, they are allowed to select their song to be played in the stadium, it's their 'walk-up song." The music plays for 5-7 seconds as the batter approacches the home plate, and that's it.

Curiel told WAFB Sports reporter Jacques Doucet that the song he selected to play in Omaha as he approached the plate was "God Is" by Kanye West. Well, for some reason, the NCAA only allowed the instrumental version of the song to be played.

Derek Curie says that he selected that song because of its message and wanted to share it with his fans. What they got was just the instrumental version, not the actual message he had hoped for.
The NCAA or stadium officials have yet to respond to their decision on that song, but this seems a bit ridiculous.
Here's the young man explaining why he chose Kanye's song as his walk-up song during his time in Omaha. And yes, the young man was a bit upset that the song he had selected was not played in the stadium during the College Baseball World Series.
However, Jacques Doucet reports the following;
Now, for those unfamiliar with the song in question here, check out the lyrics below and see if you can find anything wrong with it. What would convince the NCAA or the stadium officials that this song wasn't a good idea to play in the stadium as the LSU player approached the plate to bat?
