(Lafayette, Louisiana) - There's going to be a lot of excitement today, March 4, 2026, at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park as the UL hosts the defending NCAA Baseball Champions, the LSU Tigers.

With the two teams only separated by 60 miles, and a swamp, there's always excitement when the Cajuns and Tigers come face-to-face on a field or court. As a matter of fact, the game this evening in Lafayette is sold out.

Fans of both teams have been waiting for this date, and you can sense the excitement coming from Congress St. and Bertrand Drive.

Now, if you don't have a ticket to the game, you will still be able to watch the game on television, but not via the traditional broadcast. Nope, in order to watch UL and LSU tonight, you will need a paid subscription.

How to Watch the LSU and UL Baseball Game

The mid-week extravaganza from Lafayette will only be broadcast on ESPN+, which is streaming, and you do need a subscription for access. However, you don't have ESPN+, you are in luck.

Several sports bars around Lafayette have announced that they will be showing the game, which starts at 6:00 p.m. Central time. So, if you have a favorite sports bar in Acadiana, check with them to see if they have ESPN+ and ask if they will be showing the game between UL and LSU tonight.

We should add that you can hear all the action tonight on 96.5 KPEL, and we may be biased, but a local flavor is always best when watching or listening.

You can also subscribe to ESPN+ via the ESPN mobile app for $11.99. Here's a quick tutorial on how to subscribe to ESPN+, which is easier to do on your device than on your streaming television.

The Tigers are coming off a shocking loss to Northeastern on Monday night, 13-10, and are now looking to rebound. As for the Cajuns, they are coming off a 4-3 win over UC San Diego, and the Cajuns are red hot to start the season.

Enjoy the game tonight, whether you're at the park or your favorite "Watering Hole," and remember, it doesn't cost anything to be a good sport.
