Louisiana Mail Person Seen Tossing Package From Delivery Van
(Leesville, Louisiana) - A video circulating on social media shows a U.S. Postal Service worker tossing a package from their vehicle while delivering it to an address.
With the holidays here, delivery people have been very busy, and they are in a hurry to get packages to you and me. However, did one USPS worker go too far when they were seen tossing a package from their vehicle and onto the porch of a residence?
Shade Room Louisiana shared a video of a USPS worker driving through a yard and then approaching a wooden addition to the home. As soon as the driver is close enough to the porch, they are seen tossing it, disregarding what may be inside.
Again, we know that many of these deliviery people are busy, tired, and in a hurry for the holiday season, but there's no excuse for what you're about to see here.
People work hard to buy nice things for their loved ones, and for a package to be handled as such is just careless. And while we show you what one delivery person did, we should applaud the many who have gone out of their way to secure packages this holiday season.
We recently had one delivery person go above and beyond his duty when delivering a package to our home. He strategically put the package at our front door so that no one else could see it, and I wish I had been home to thank him.
Now back to the USPS worker in Leesville who was seen tossing a package from the van they were driving. This is very encouraging.
Ways to Secure Packages For Delivery
If you ever have packages delivered to your home, it is always wise to track them so you know when they will arrive. If you know that you won't be home to accept it, have your package sent to your workplace, where someone can secure it.
You can also instruct the delivery person to place the package in an area that is not visible from the road.
And remember, cameras on your home are a great tool in combating porch pirates. If something happens to your package, you can always review the footage on your cameras to begin your investigation, like in the case above.
