Motorists Urged to Proceed With Caution When Exiting Off of I-10 in Louisiana

For those traveling I-10 East through Lafayette, Louisiana we have an important message for you.

If you plan to take the Ambassador Caffery exit off of I-10 East you need to be aware of a road hazard.

Crews are working on the interstate and there is a huge/deep dip on the exit just as you approach Ambassador Caffery. While taking the exit this week I saw two vehicles in front of me hit the dip in the road hard, and their vehicle went airborne.

So, if you are taking the exit anytime soon for gas or food, just know that there is a road hazard at the exit off of I-10 and I didn't see any markings to notify those traveling.

Not only could you damage your vehicle if you hit the dip in the road hard, you may even lose control of your vehicle.

We're sharing this with you in hopes that this prevents you or anyone you know from getting hurt or damaging their vehicle.

Let us end with, we are grateful that the roadways and highways in and around Lafayette are being addressed and repaired. For too long we've all driven across some very sub-par roadways in the parish and state.
