Next Potential Storm Heading Towards Gulf of Mexico?
The Gulf Coast is preparing for the peak of hurricane season and another area of disturbed weather could be approaching the Gulf of Mexico.
As Hurricane Debby drops several inches of rain in Florida and along the east coast, many along the Gulf Coast from Texas to Florida are watching what could be the next storm in the gulf.
While we are days out, it is always important to be aware of any potential threat, and as we've said in previous reports, everyone along the Gulf Coast should have a plan this hurricane season.
The next potential storm could impact the gulf by August 9th and/or through the weekend.
As for the forecast or potential path of this next weather event, most have it sweeping across the Southern Gulf and impacting Mexico or Southern Texas. Still, if you're along the Gulf Coast, you will want to watch this wave and potential storm in the days ahead.
Remember, things can change, but with this high pressure over Louisiana, this should keep any storm in the southern gulf way south of Louisiana. Again, we can't stress enough that you will still want to monitor any weather event that could enter the gulf in the days ahead.
