Storm Blows Doors In at Super One Store in Lafayette, Louisiana

We continue to see the damage done by storms that came through Lafayette, Louisiana Thursday evening.

One photo shared on social media shows the doors at the Super One store on Ambassador Caffery blown in as a result of the strong winds.

The store damaged Thursday is located near the Home Depot on Ambassador Caffery, not the new store at Dulles.

The damage done in the area is heartbreaking but let's face it, things could have been much worse here. We've seen the extensive amount of damage done west of Acadiana, in Houston, and we were blessed to not have that much damage to property in South Louisiana.

Still, that does not minimize the fact that we had wind gusts here reach close to 80-85 mph Thursday night.

We reached out to the store in Lafayette and they are open during normal business hours.
