If you own a Tesla vehicle there is a problem with a warning light on 2.2 million vehicles according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The recall deals with warning lights on the vehicles. The font is too small which officials say could lead to crashes as people may not be able to warnings due to their size.

This recall deals with the Park, Brake, and Antilock Braking System warning lights. Letters will begin to go out in March to let owners know what is happening with the recall.

According to the report on the NHTSA website,

At no cost to customers, affected vehicles will receive an over-the-air software remedy, which began deploying to certain affected vehicles in late January 2024.....The remedy increases the letter font size of the Brake, Park, and Antilock brake system (ABS) visual warning indicators to be not less than 3.2 mm.

According to the report, the remaining vehicles that have not yet received the over-the-air software update will be getting the update this month.

Which Tesla Vehicles Are Part of the Recall?

Tesla says the following models and years of vehicles are part of the recall:

  • 2012-2023 Model S
  • 2016-2024 Model X
  • 2017-2023 Model 3
  • 2019-2024 Model Y
  • 2024 Cybertruck
