Exclusive First Look Inside the New Superior Grill in Lafayette, Louisiana

Lafayette and Acadiana have been waiting with bated breath for the opening of Superior Grill on Kaliste Saloom, and it seems the wait is almost over.

While as of now you can't experience the inside of Superior Grill just yet, we are going to give you an exclusive sneak peek inside of what is sure to immediately become one of Lafayette's favorite restaurants.

Superior Grill Lafayette, Louisiana

Louisiana's love affair with Superior Grill's life-changing fajitas and Superior margaritas began with the first location in Shreveport back in 1983.

Success came fast, and less than 10 years later in 1991, Superior Grill opened up their second location in Baton Rouge.

This Baton Rouge location instantly became the restaurant's marquis location and established itself as a true Louisiana landmark due to its unforgettably delicious Mexican cuisine and amazingly festive atmosphere.

For decades, Superior Grill fans in Lafayette and Acadiana have happily taken the quick drive down I-10 to get their "Superior" fix, but then it was announced the beloved restaurant would be expanding operations to Lafayette.

In 2022, Superior Grill announced they would be taking over the location previously occupied by Lafayette institution Randol's Restaurant, and ever since we've all been driving by to check out the construction progress.

For about the past year, one of the most frequently asked questions around Lafayette has been "Hey, when is Superior Grill gonna open?"

While we don't have an official opening date for Superior Grill in Lafayette, we can tell you, it looks like the wait is almost over.

We were recently lucky enough to get a sneak-peak inside Superior Grill on Kaliste Saloom, and the folks at Superior were awesome enough to let us take a few photos to share with you!

Currently, Superior Grill has a total of 5 locations including two in Baton Rouge, Shreveport, New Orleans, and Lafayette (Coming Soon).

They are also part of Superior’s Steakhouse in Shreveport and Superior Seafood & Oyster Bar in New Orleans.
