2 New Businesses Coming to Lafayette, Louisiana Area

In this week's edition of "As the Lafayette Business World Turns," we have an update on a couple of new store openings soon.

The first bit of news involves the grand opening of the new Kartchner's Specialty Meats in Crowley.

The new Kartchner's will be located at 205 VFW Drive in Crowley, right off I-10.

The ribbon cutting for the grand opening will take place at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 19th.

Kartchner's Specialty Meats has been a favorite around Acadiana for years now serving up delicious boudin, sausage, specialty meats, and heat-and-eat items as well.

The new Crowley location will join the original Krotz Springs location along with the ones in Scott and Lafayette.

The other big news is on the restaurant front as a new chicken eatery, Ragin' Chicken Co., is coming soon to Youngsville.

It will be located in the former Villager's Cafe space at 1901 Chemin Metairie Pkwy, Suite 7.

The new locally-owned restaurant will feature a variety of slow-marinated, seasoned, and crunch tender-based items, including sliders, wraps, and bowls, all topped with your choice of house sauces.

Right now, Ragin' Chicken Co. is tentatively expected to open in early March. (An exact date has not been announce yet though.)
