The folks over at AOL.com have compiled their list of "Best Hole-in-the-Wall" burger joints in America, and a Lafayette favorite has made the list as the best burger not just in Louisiana, but in all of America.

However, when certain Louisiana burger joints keep getting recommended time and time again, there's got to be something to it.

Judice Inn Named One Of The Best Burger Joints In America

AOL.com named Lafayette's own Judice Inn as not only the best burger joint in Louisiana, but one of the best in America!

"Judice Inn has been serving Lafayette residents since two brothers opened it in 1947. It's especially popular among University of Louisiana students, since it's only about a mile off campus.

Burgers come wrapped in wax paper, spread with a mustard and mayo mixture, and with an onion slice on the side.

Unlike other burger joints, this one doesn't serve french fries — only local Zapp's potato chips."
