Property crimes include things like robbery, burglary, and theft, and these crimes unfortunately remained high through 2025 as a whole. Unfortunately, there were also almost 1,000 vehicle crashes reported in Lafayette Parish for December 2025 alone.
Another December crime statistic for Lafayette Parish that remained high, in a good way, is that the Lafayette Police Department was able to seize nearly $200,000 in narcotics, keeping these dangerous drugs off the street. Pretty good for just one month.
