Louisiana Musician Arrested on Multiple Sexual Assault Charges

SHREVEPORT, La. (KMDL-FM) - A Louisiana musician is behind bars after authorities say he was arrested on several serious sex crime charges.

According to KLFY, investigators in Caddo Parish say the suspect, who is reportedly a member of a Louisiana band, is now facing multiple counts of first-degree rape following an investigation by the sheriff’s office.

According to officials, the allegations involve several incidents that investigators believe occurred over time.

Suspect Identified by Authorities

The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect as Jonathon Wesley Rachal, who was taken into custody following the investigation. KLFY reports Rachal is a member of Louisiana country band called Dirt Road Troubadours.

Rachal has been charged with two counts of first-degree rape along with additional sexual offense charges. Investigators say the charges stem from allegations involving victims in Caddo Parish. Bond Set at $2 Million

Caddo Parish authorities report Rachal is currently being held at the Caddo Correctional Center. A judge set his bond at $2 million, reflecting the seriousness of the charges filed against Rachal.
