What's Good at Elsie's Plate & Pie?
Elsie's Plate & Pie's has an expansive menu that heavily leans on its Louisiana influences. Some highlights include crawfish queso dip, seafood pot pie, red beans & rice, fried chicken, tomato soup and grilled cheese, and so much more.
A Little History Behind Elsie's Plate & Pie
The restaurant is named in memory of Chef Paul Chauvin Dupré's grandmother, the beloved Elsie Marie Campeau Rupe of Lockport, Louisiana (down in Lafourche Parish).
Mrs. Elsie's home was the center of much joy around the kitchen table, and a staple of hers was her delicious pies, thus, the name of the restaurant -- Elsie's Plate & Pie.
