
The Planters NUTmobile Is Coming to Lafayette, Louisiana
LAFAYETTE, La. - The famous Planters NUTmobile is making its way to Lafayette, giving Acadiana residents a chance to see one of the most recognizable promotional vehicles on the road, and possibly meet the one and only Mr. Peanut.
If you've ever seen a giant peanut cruising down the highway and wondered what in the world was going on, you spotted the Planters NUTmobile. I mean, if it wasn't the official NUTmobile that would be pretty weird, but chances are it was.
And now, it's coming to Lafayette.
What Exactly Is The Planters NUTmobile?
The NUTmobile really is a giant peanut on wheels.
According to Planters, the NUTmobile is a 26-foot-long peanut-shaped vehicle that travels around the country making appearances at festivals, college campuses and community events.

It's essentially a giant rolling billboard for Planters, but one that's considerably more fun to spot than your average advertising vehicle.
The NUTmobile has been part of the Planters brand for decades. The company says the vehicle first hit the road in 1935 and has continued bringing Mr. Peanut to fans around the country ever since.

Meet The "Peanutters" Driving The NUTmobile
Planters' 2026 NUTmobile crew is made up of three women who are spending the year traveling around the country representing the brand.
The company introduced Christina, Karissa and Courtney as its 2026 Peanutters, describing them as brand ambassadors who will spend the year driving across the U.S. spreading the good nutty word.

The Planters NUTmobile is scheduled to make 2 stops in Acadiana, August 14, and August 15 according to plantersnutmobile.com.
