Secret Slipped Out? Iconic Burger Chain Heading for Louisiana?
(KMDL-FM) People in Lafayette, Lake Charles, Alexandria, and New Orleans are familiar with the concept of six degrees of Kevin Bacon, right? Maybe we could entitle this story Six Degrees of 'bacon cheeseburger" because for what we are about to discuss to come true, more than a few "dominoes" will have to fall into place.
If you've been in Lafayette and the Acadiana area for a while, you know this part of the state has had a "wish list" of iconic companies we'd like to locate here. Once upon a time, we wanted a Top Golf or a Dave and Busters; now we have those. And while the coveted dream of a P.F. Chang's still has not come to fruition, perhaps the fast food "gods" are lining up for a "meat patty" miracle?

If you ask any American what the most "iconic burger" is in the nation, you might get a "Big Mac" or a "Whopper" for an answer if you're on the East Coast. In Texas, the faithful might say a "Whataburger". However, in California and on the American West Coast, the go-to burger chain is In-N-Out.
Is In-N-Out Burger Expanded to the East Coast?
A recent announcement by the president and owner of the In-N-Out chain sparked speculation that perhaps the company was finally ready to spread to the East Coast and Gulf South. If you're wondering, you can get an In-N-Out Burger in Texas, that's as far east as the chain has expanded. But they are currently building a new facility in Tennessee.
What this means is that by the year 2026, In-N-Out will have the ability to service and supply restaurants within a 300-mile radius with the meat they need to make their world-famous burgers. The meat patty facility is being built in Franklin, Tennessee, a suburb of Nashville, if you will.

Could In-N-Out Burger Be Contemplating a Louisiana Location?
We did the math, and that 300-mile radius still has Louisiana on the outside looking inside at In-N-Out Burgers. But it would put the iconic burger brand a little closer to our Louisiana appetites. But like those six degrees of Kevin Bacon, maybe this puts us one degree closer?
Hey, we are finally getting a Buc-ee's, so why wouldn't we get an In-N-Out Burger? Oh yeah, the same reason we almost didn't get a Buc-ee's and the reason why Disney World is in Florida, I am pretty sure our Louisiana politicians will find a way to screw this up too.
