Soul Haus Kitchen to Add Second Location in Former Hardee’s in Carencro, Louisiana

Soul Haus Kitchen, a locally-owned restaurant specializing in authentic soul food, will be adding a second location in Carencro.

According to Developing Lafayette, the new restaurant will be located inside the former Hardee's at 110 Hector Connoly Road in Carencro. (This is right near the roundabout off of Exit 4.)

Soul Haus Kitchen's original restaurant opened in September of 2022 and is located at 4150 W Congress Street, which once housed The Jambalaya Shoppe and Krystal Burger.

The Hardee's location in Carencro opened for business in January of 2018. It was one of a few locations in the Lafayette area.

However, by September of 2020, it would close. (Sadly for those of us that live in Carencro.) That closure meant that all the Hardee's restaurants that had opened in the last few years had closed.

What are some of the menu items at Soul Haus Kitchen?

They serve a variety of soul food and Southern dishes along with some excellent noodle-based items.

Some of the dishes include red beans & rice, meatloaf, fried chicken, fried shrimp, bbq ribs and chicken, baked turkey wings, smothered pork chops, beef or shrimp yakamein, and a whole lot more.

They also serve up boiled crawfish during crawfish season.

When will Soul Haus Kitchen in Carencro open up?

According to Developing Lafayette, the owner tells them that the tentative opening date should be by mid-March. However, it could be earlier.
