One Person Dead After Shooting on Bayou Alexandre Highway in St. Martinville Friday Night
ST. MARTINVILLE, La. - One person is dead following a shooting that took place Friday night in St. Martinville.
What St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office Has Confirmed
According to St. Martin Parish Sheriff Becket Breaux, deputies with his department responded on Friday, October 2, 2026, to a shooting in the 1000 block of Bayou Alexandre Highway in St. Martinville.
Upon their arrival, deputies discovered a man had been shot multiple times. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Identity of Deceased Man Not Yet Made Public
The identity of the victim has not been released, and no suspects have been named at this time.
