What the Owners Said: 'Taking a Pause to Evaluate Next Steps'

In the Facebook post, there is language that suggests that there could be a return of the business at some point. It reads in part:

At this time, we are taking a pause while we evaluate our next steps. Any future updates or announcements will be shared here on our Facebook page.

We Will Update This Story If Tokyo Japan Returns

We'll keep an eye out for further updates and report back if there is any type of re-opening of the brand or if this is a permanent closure.

Tokyo Japan's History in Carencro: Seven Years on Hector Connoly Road

Tokyo Japan officially opened its doors to the public on July 29, 2019. The hibachi, sushi, and steakhouse restaurant is located at 107 Hector Connoly Road (in the Connoly Park shopping center near the roundabout at the I-49 exit.)

The restaurant is set up like many hibachi restaurants in our area with one side traditional seating and a wall partitioning the hibachi grill side.

Early on, Tokyo Japan was a hotspot in Carencro, with a full parking lot many nights, especially on the weekends. However, as the economy has softened in the last couple of years, so too has their business, at least from an outsider's perspective.
