Fatal Crash in Texas Splits $200,000 McLaren in Half, Claims Two Lives

A devastating two-car crash in the Dallas, Texas area left a luxury McLaren sports car split in half and two people dead. The incident occurred around 3:10 p.m. in the 8500 block of Abrams Road, according to the Dallas Police Department.

The victims, identified as 29-year-old Cristobal Flores Espino and 31-year-old Robert Rocha, were in the McLaren when it struck a tree, killing them on impact. Dallas Fire-Rescue officials reported that the car's violent collision left the vehicle so severely damaged that heavy rescue equipment was required to access the victims.

Chopper footage from local news outlets captured the aftermath, showing the McLaren—believed to be a 570S model—completely split into two sections. The high-performance car, known for its speed and starting price near $200,000, was reduced to twisted metal in the fatal crash.

The second vehicle involved, a sedan, sustained significant front-end damage. One person from that car was transported to a local hospital with undisclosed injuries. Authorities have not released details about what led up to the collision, and the condition of the hospitalized individual remains unknown.

The McLaren 570S can reach speeds of up to 186 mph.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident. No additional information has been shared about the events leading up to the crash or whether excessive speed played a role.
