Lafayette, Louisiana Road Closing for Next Two Weeks Due to Drainage Construction
Lafayette Consolidated Government has announced that part of a road in the city has closed due to construction.
The 100 block of Aymar Road, right off Pinhook Road near Verot School Road, is closed to all traffic starting on Wednesday, July 10, 2024.
The closure is expected to be daily for two weeks from 7:00 am to 2:30 pm so Public Works crews can conduct drainage infrastructure construction.
During this stretch, motorists will have to detour around the construction zone. However, local access will be maintained to ensure residents and businesses in the immediate area are minimally impacted.
Detour Route:
- Traffic from W. Pinhook Road will be detoured onto Verot School Road and then back to Aymar Road.
While the road will be closed for two weeks, LCG said that construction is set to be completed by July 17, 2024, weather permitting.
