The Lafayette Police Department needs help identifying three suspects who are responsible for a series of felony thefts at several different businesses in the Lafayette area.

Police say that the three suspects shoplifted from Dick's Sporting Goods, Academy, and Target in Lafayette for certain, but they may have shoplifted from other stores and businesses as well.

"Lafayette Crime Stoppers and the Lafayette Police Department needs your help in identifying the pictured subjects. They are responsible for several felony theft incidents which are believed to be associated with Organized Retail Theft which include thefts from Dick's, Academy, and Target as well as possible other locations."

Felony Theft Laws In Louisiana

If the value of the stolen items or services is $1000 or more, the crime is considered a felony theft. Potential penalties can include jail time, fines, and, in some cases, both. When the value of the stolen property exceeds $25,000, the thief can face up to 20 years in prison.
