
Louisiana Police Called Out to Investigate a Homicide in Lafayette

Detective Ken Handy says the victim was identified as 15-year-old Tameron Willis.

Officials say they were called out to the scene of a homicide that happened around 7:15 on Saturday evening, February 1, after they received information that there was a shooting that was happening in the 200 block of Arthur St.
Lafayette Police Department Spokesperson Detective Ken Handy says officials arrived to find a shooting victim dead there in the area.
Handy says that investigators with the Lafayette Police Department are actively working the scene, which includes working to figure out as much information as possible about what led up to the shooting. They are interviewing people on and around the scene to determine if anyone has information.
