Missing 4-Year-Old Found Dead, 6-Year-Old Found with Suspect
A heartbreaking up date regarding the two missing girls.
The body of 4-year-old Erin Brunett was found in a wooded area near Jackson, according to the Tangipahoa Parish Sherrif's Office.
Her 6-year-old sister Jalie Brunett was found unharmed by the suspect, who is now in custody.
Chief Deputy Jimmy Travis told WBRZ previously that enough time had passed and the girls could be in another state.
You're talking about a 36-hour gap there that someone could have taken those children, along with her car that is missing, and you could be halfway across the country by now, we don't know if the children are in this area.
Now authorities have located the girls and identified the suspect as Daniel Callahan, who had dated the girls' mother, Callie Brunett. Callie's father found her body in her home Thursday morning.
Callie and her two daughters were last seen Tuesday night, and a search began at some point Wednesday night.
