One Dead in 3-Vehicle Crash in Youngsville

Authorities are investigating a fatal three-vehicle crash that occurred Friday afternoon (Jan. 3) on Lafayette Street (Youngsville Hwy).

According to the Youngsville Police Department, the accident happened around 1:45 p.m. in the 600 block of Lafayette Street. Officers arriving at the scene discovered significant damage involving three vehicles and multiple injuries.

Tragically, one of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene by Acadian Ambulance Service. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of their next of kin.

The circumstances leading to the crash remain unreported, and the investigation is ongoing. The Youngsville Police Department is working alongside the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office to determine the cause of the collision.
