An exciting new business has plans to open in Lafayette, and families from Scott, Crowley, and other surrounding areas will soon be making plans to take their kids here once it officially opens.

The Bed Bath & Beyond in Lafayette closed in the spring of 2023 after the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

The closure was part of a nationwide shutdown of stores as the retailer worked to restructure its business.

The Lafayette location, which was part of the Ambassador Courtyard shopping center, has been vacant since then, but it will soon be transformed into a new business that will bring more foot traffic to the area.

What Business Is Taking Over The Old Bed Bath & Beyond In Lafayette?

A brand-new Urban Air Adventure Park is coming to the area, offering families activities for kids of all ages. Set to open next summer at 3617 Ambassador Caffery Parkway, the 40,000-square-foot park will transform the former Bed Bath & Beyond space into an action-packed hub of entertainment.

The Daily Advocate reported that Urban Air Adventure Park has several other Louisiana locations in Covington, Denham Springs, and Lake Charles, making the Lafayette location the fourth to open in the state.

Parents are always looking for places to take their kids on the weekends, on rainy days and during school breaks. This new addition to the Lafayette area will be a great option for families in Acadiana.

Urban Air Adventure Park Coming To Lafayette, Louisiana

This new location will feature thrilling attractions like the Sky Rider, ropes course, climbing walls, trampolines, dodgeball, slides, and more.

The Urban Air Adventure Park will be perfect for keeping kids active and entertained. Urban Air, already popular in Covington, Denham Springs, and Lake Charles, is known for creating memorable family experiences, and Lafayette is set to be its next hotspot. Plus, with plans to employ around 70 people, the park will also bring jobs to the community.

The company announced that if everything goes according to plan we can expect the park to open in the summer of 2025.
