Iconic, spectacular, unforgettable, and exhilarating are just some of the adjectives that can be used to describe a Mardi Gras parade in Louisiana; our parades never disappoint.

Louisiana's Mardi Gras is in full swing, with parades happening each weekend between now and Fat Tuesday.

The 42nd annual Mardi Gras parade rolled through Carencro with bands, floats, and plenty of throws as crowds lined the streets.

Where Was The Parade Held?

The parade began at Carencro High School, turned onto University Street, and ended at the Carencro Community Center.

The Carencro Mardi Gras Association organizes the parade each year. It's a family event enjoyed by people of all ages.

You could see families gathered all up and down the parade route, many of which had tables set up preparing food. Many families brought out their BBQ pits to make a day of the festivities.

Mardi Gras in Carencro was full of families celebrating, having a good time, and sharing their food and beverages with the people around them. You have to love Acadiana; we know how to have a party and make everyone part of the family.

The floats that we saw had the happiest people, and more importantly, they made the parade goers happy with all of the things they were throwing at the crowds. First came a variety of law enforcement officials, along with several members of the court of the Carencro Mardi Gras Association and the parade's Grand Marshal. The Carencro Fire Department was throwing plenty of great items.
