J. Cole's inaugural Dreamville Festival is going down in Raleigh, N.C. this weekend and Jermaine's set on Saturday night (April 6) featured a special homage to Nipsey Hussle who was slain in Los Angeles last week.

Cole paid tribute to the beloved rapper with a performance of his 2014 Forrest Hills Drive track "Love Yourz." During the song, Cole sat on a chair near the front of the stage with a solemn look on his face.

"I just seen footage yesterday of all types of different sets and hoods walking together in L.A. to pay homage and pay respect to Nipsey Hussle," Cole told the crowd. "So, I need us to do the same thing tonight."

Backed by a live band and backup singers, Cole rolled through the touching track as various clips of video footage featuring Nipsey was displayed on the huge screen behind him. It was an emotional moment indeed.

Nipsey's death is one that won't soon be forgotten. The Cali rapper was killed on March 31 in a shooting outside of his The Marathon Clothing store in Los Angeles. In the wake of his passing, vigils have taken place across the country including L.A., Houston and New York City. Several rappers have also paid their respects via social media. The shock wave has been felt outside of the hip-hop community as well. NBA icon LeBron James recently called Nipsey's passing one of the most unfortunate events in American history.

Nipsey's suspected killer, Eric Holder, has been apprehended and is currently facing multiple charges including first-degree murder. He has pleaded not guilty.
