J. Cole Prays for 6ix9ine on 21 Savage’s New Song “A Lot”
Today (Dec. 21) the "Immortal" rapper dropped his long-awaited LP, I Am > I Was, which features a powerful introductory banger with Cole. In the DJ Dahi and J White produced track, Savage vents about his abundance of life problems. Later on in the song, the KOD rapper calls out the fake artists in the industry, and offers a prayer for 6ix9ine, who's currently got a lot of problems of his own.
"Pray for Tekashi, they want him to rot," Cole raps. "I picture him inside a cell on a cot, ’Flectin' on how he made it to the top/Wondering if it was worth it or not."
21 Savage's sophomore album contains 15 new songs from the Atlanta native. Along with Cole's new verse, other artists like City Girls' Yung Miami, Post Malone, Offset, Project Pat, ScHoolboy Q, Childish Gambino, Young Nudy, Gunna and Lil Baby also come through with dope contributions to the LP as well as Metro Boomin, Southside, FKi 1st, Wheezy and more who come through with solid production. Right after the album dropped, 21 said that Travis Scott will also appear in a bonus track from the album.
6ix9ine will need all the prayers he can get. After losing out on the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart, the Brooklyn rapper faces more legal turmoil after refusing to take a plea deal for his racketeering and firearms charges. In addition to that, Feds are reviewing his alleged role in an attempted shooting involving Chief Keef.
