Just as fans are starting to simmer down after hearing news of a Hov album, the man behind many monikers has decided to make yet another disclosure; this time when it comes to the styling of his name. Yes, the man formally known as Jay-Z and Jay Z is now JAY-Z, hyphen back and all.

According to Pitchfork, a Roc Nation rep confirmed the news along with the fact that each letter in the rapper's name is capitalized. XXL initially reported on the dropped hyphen in his name in 2013, when Billlboard magazine editor Joe Levy tweeted the news after obtaining it from a label source.

JAY-Z has been keeping the media circulating with his name as of late, especially with his album 4:44 dropping in less than two weeks (June 30). The project will be released exclusively to Tidal and Sprint users. Rumored to be entirely produced by No I.D., JAY-Z's newest album is set in the midst of a family celebration, seeing that Beyonce gave birth to their twins over the weekend.

Last night, the Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee provided a snippet of his forthcoming single "Adnis," which may appear on 4:44.  All New York hip-hop heads were thrown for a loop after the title of the album began popping up all over the city, making this week's news well-received.

On June 15, JAY-Z tweeted out a list of 50 rap artists who have inspired him over the years. The tweeting spree made up for the fact that he couldn't attend the Songwriters Hall of Fame induction in his honor since his wife was giving birth. After naming the usual suspects such as The Notorious B.I.G., Tupac Shakur and Rakim, the Brooklyn MC went on to list new artists on the hip-hop roster such as Tee Grizzley and 2017 XXL Freshman Playboi Carti before listing Barack Obama as "the greatest rapper of all time."

Welcome back, JAY-Z.
