Jennifer Lopez Has Announced That She Is Leaving American Idol

TMZ is reporting that American Idol judge and singer, Jennifer Lopez,  is leaving the American Idol show. This announcement comes just days after fellow judge on Idol, Steven Tyler, announced that he too would not be returning for another season of American Idol on Fox.According to TMZ, JLo called in to Ryan Seacrest this morning, saying, "I honestly feel like the time has come that I have to get back to doing the other things that I do." She did note that she had a lot of fun doing the show, but its just time.

We have heard rumors in recent days that Randy Jackson, the only original judge still on the show, may also be exiting stage left from the show. In addition to that, we have heard rumors that Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, and Katy Perry are all being considered to fill the vacant chairs on the judges panel for American Idol.
