The pitfalls for a 21st century musician are many, so careful consideration must always be applied.

During the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago this weekend, hometown artist Jeremih got a bit too comfortable in his attempt to bring his set closer to the fans, mistaking a group of speakers for a sturdy platform and stepping onto them. The result isn't as nearly as disastrous as it could have been, as Jeremih falls between the gaps of the speakers, but lands on his feet and is able to recompose himself immediately after. Watch the video of Jeremih's fall, as the singer performs "Oui"" off his album Late Nights which dropped this past December, up above.

As for other on-stage stumbles, the gallery below includes spills by August Alsina, Busta Rhymes, Travis Scott, Iggy Azalea and more. The thrill of live performance can cause many to lose their bearings and fail to realize when the stage ends. As evidenced in the above video, Jeremih appears to be fine following the misstep, which is more than could be said for some others. Drake famously injured his knee while on-stage in 2009 tearing his ACL as a result.

In the time since Late Nights dropped, Jeremih has been on his feature hustle, linking up with PartyNextDoor and Lil Wayne earlier this month for "Like Dat" and connecting with The Game for his new single "All Eyez." In June, Jeremih and PND announced a collaborative album titled Late Night Party, though that would perceivably have to come after PND's third self-titled project, which is supposed to be coming soon.
