Nearly two months after reports surfaced of Johnny Depp attacking a crew member while on set filming City of Lies, the actor is now being hit with a lawsuit regarding those same allegations, TMZ has learned.

According to the June 9 report, location manager Gregg "Rocky" Brooks, the alleged victim of Depp's attack, is suing the actor for unspecified damages spawning from the 2017 incident. If you recall, the Brad Furman directed film—which follows the unsolved murders of The Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur—has been in development since last spring.

Back in May, while filming the movie, Brooks claims that he approached Depp to inform the actor that he would be allotted only a few more shots to finish up a scene due to a time crunch. The suit claims, however, that Depp grew irritable and proceeded to attack Brooks.

After allegedly punching Brooks twice in his rib cage, Depp grew volatile and began screaming, "Who the fuck are you? You have no right to tell me what to do." Depp continued on with his tirade by egging Brooks to retaliate. "I will give you $100,000 to punch me in the face right now," the actor reportedly told him.

Eventually, Depp was escorted away by two bodyguards before Brooks was given an opportunity to inform authorities of the attack. While the suit doesn't detail the specified amount being sought, Brooks claims that Depp reeked of alcohol while he punched him.

Johnny Depp nor his team have yet to comment on the incident. Stay tuned for more details as this story develops.
