Kanye West is looking to expand his empire into the arena of film.

The Chicago rapper recently filed paperwork to lock down the trademark for the name Half Beast, LLC. According to documents obtained by TMZ, the trademark has been filed under film production, meaning 'Ye plans to use the company to produce and distribute movies, books and other forms of entertainment. According to the report, Yeezy filed trademark paperwork for Half Beast in 2015 and 2016 as well but never utilized the moniker. Now, he's going after it once again.

'Ye has recently been showing off what he can do if given a camera and time to plan something out. Earlier this month, he served as creative director of the 2018 Pornhub Awards along with designer Willo Perron and filmmaker, photographer and artist Richard Kern. At the show, he debuted the new video for "I Like It," a new track featuring Lil Pump. The visual is directed by Kanye and Amanda Adelson, and executive produced by Spike Jones. We've also seen Yeezy's work in the past, with one glowing example being the "Runaway" short film he directed in 2010.

Musically, West has been pretty active, following the release of his Ye album. Last week, he teased an upcoming record with Bump J and Ronny J. He was also recently spotted in the studio with 6ix9ine and has hinted that Watch the Throne 2 is on the horizon.
