Kent Jones, E-40, Ty Dolla $ign and Lil Dicky Tell Haters to “Sit Down” in New Video
We The Best's Kent Jones has himself another hit. The Miami native is joined by E-40, Ty Dolla $ign and Lil Dicky in the visuals for his latest single "Sit Down," off his previously released mixtape, Too Much Too Soon, which dropped last September.
Kent, who broke out last year with his mega hit single "Don't Mind," is smart to release the video for "Sit Down," a standout cut off the project. You can cop the single on iTunes now.
In the music video, Jones, E-40, Dolla $ign and Lil Dicky get their hair done by some of the hottest beauticians you'll ever see. The video, which is directed by Michael Garcia, starts off with Kent showing off his afro when suddenly Ty Dolla $ign and 2016 XXL Freshman Lil Dicky pop up. Last but certainly not least, the Bay Area O.G. closes out the video in a flashy fit.
The 23-year-old rapper, who also sings and produces, explains how "Sit Down" comes together.
"'Sit Down' was an empty record with just me on it for a while," he explains to XXL. "Illa was creating the beat when I walked in and had him mute everything but the bassline and drums. Dicky was the first person on it for a couple weeks. We cut Ty's verse at his house and Khaled introduced me to E-40 who ended up being on the record, such a pleasure to put together such a smash."
Last week during Valentine’s Day, Kent Jones dropped a new mixtape titled Luh Tape to celebrate the occasion. We spoke to him about his own best and worst Valentine's Day memory, read that here.
