Kid Cudi is creating a new Netflix series that will be based on his upcoming album, Entergalatic.

On Monday (July 22), The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Cudi has partnered up with Kenya Barris, the mind behind ABC's Black-ish, for a new animated series for adults that will debut on Netflix. The show, which follows a young man on his journey to discover love, will feature fresh music from Cudder that will also appear on his brand-new LP, which will drop via Republic Records.

Along with having the show based on his new LP, Cudi will also write, star and executive-produce the series. Ian Edelman, who worked on Netflix's The After Party starring Kyle, will also write for and executive-produce the show. On Monday, Cudi commented on the project on Twitter.

"Entergalactic will be something you've never experienced," he posted. "I promise it'll be a fun ride. Lot of good friends involved. Great songs too! The cast is coming together. I know a year from now seems like forever but itll be here before u know it!"

The upcoming album and television series is probably what Cudi meant when he said he's "been mad busy." Back in May, Cudder gave fans an update on what he's been working on lately.

"New music next year!!" Cudi tweeted on May 17. "Gonna work the rest of this year. In no rush to do anything right now. I dont drop albums every year anymore. Gotta give myself time to do other things. And relax!"

Cudi has reportedly been working on new music since at least last October. The Cleveland, Ohio native told his fans in a tweet that he was planning on dropping his follow-up to his 2016 album Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin' in 2019.

"Taking my time w it tho but im thinkin next year sometime? Would that be cool? Huh? Tell me? Would that be ok?" Cudi teased on Oct. 23, 2018, "Got some tasty features comin out soon in the meantime."

As of this report, there's no confirmed release date for Cudi's Entergalactic album and series. Check out the announcement below.
