Kobe Bryant Says 2012 Olympic Basketball Team Could Beat 1992 ‘Dream Team’

The 2012 Olympic basketball team is pretty stacked. Head coach Mike Krzyewski has already stated that this year's squad is definitely more versatile than Team USA from 2008 that won the gold medal. Kobe Bryant took things a step further in this clip and says he thinks this year's team could beat the team who some consider to be "the greatest team ever assembled" - the 1992 'Dream Team.'

Michael Jordan's initial reaction to Kobe's comment didn't even involve words. He laughed. After he was done laughing, he then added

I absolutely laughed," he said earlier today when asked about Kobe's comments prior to a celebrity golf tournament in Charlotte. He added that Kobe's prediction "is not one of the smarter things he ever could have done.

Jordan wasn't the only 'Dream Team' member to comment. Charles Barkley responded by saying there was "no way in hell" the 2012 team could be the 1992 team. I think it's pretty safe to say that there will never be another team of professionals assembled that can hold a candle to the 1992 'Dream Team' and what they did for basketball.
