The Krewe of Chaos is known for raising eyebrows during Mardi Gras and 2018 was no exception.

The Krewe is known for mocking the "chaos" that surrounds us in the world, and their floats and themes definitely reflect the local and national political issues that we face on a daily basis.

Even though the Chaos rolls with the intention of fun and satire, their message isn't always well received by paradegoers. Many are offended by their floats and from Trump and the border wall, to Kaepernick and the NFL—their 2018 parade had many taking to social media.

Not everyone was offended. Some people defended the Krewe, reminding commenters what Chaos is all about. Michelle Marshall had this to say:

People look at the title of the crew.
Krewe of CHAOS.
THEY TAKE ALL THE STUFF THAT GOES ON AND THEY PUT IT ON THE FLOATS. IT'S ABOUT ALL THE CHAOS THAT GOES ON IN THE WORLD. Y'ALL MIGHT HAVE ONE OR TWO FLOATS THAT YOU CAN SEE FROM ONE SIDE BUT CHECK OUT ALL THE OTHER FLOATS THEY GOT SOMETHING ON IT MAY NOT BE POLITICAL AND MAYBE OTHER THINGS. KNOW THE HISTORY OF THE KREWE
THEY HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR YEARS THIS IS NOTHING NEW WHAT ARE YOU UPSET.
THE PURPOSE OF THE FLOATS ON TO MAKE YOU TALK ABOUT THINGS THAT ARE GOING ON IN SOCIETY. SOMETHING'S THINGS ARE DONE COMEDICALLY SOME ARE NOT.

Lorri Lucas pointed out that while some called the Krewe racist or bigoted, "no one was spared" with their satirical floats.

I will say that they came for everyone though, white and black. Mayor landrieu, Trump, Jeff sessions, mayor Cantrell, sewerage and water board, no one was spared.

It still wasn't enough to convince those who were deeply offended by some of the messages displayed during the parade.

Disrespectful they should not have been able to roll!! Mardi Gras is about fun not BS!!
