
Lafayette High School Teacher Passes Away After Falling Ill In Classroom
It is with great sadness that we pass this along, but Lafayette High School lost a member of its family yesterday when a teacher, Ms. Alicia Gauthier, passed away unexpectedly.
According to a statement released by Superintendent of School, Dr. Pat Cooper, Ms. Gauthier fell ill in her classroom yesterday, Monday April 14th, and died soon after. Ms. Gauthier was a teacher at Lafayette High for 15 years, and part of the school system for 28 years.
Ms. Gauthier loved what she did, and her favorite subject to teach was American History. We here at HOT 107.9 would like to extend our condolences to Ms. Gauthier's family, her colleagues, and her students during this very trying time.
