Acadiana Parish Schools Close Due To Flooding [UPDATE]

Lafayette Parish Schools Superintendent Pat Cooper says schools in Lafayette opened today, but only "for students who can get there safely." Now, we can report that schools throughout the parish are closing early.

Superintendent Cooper says that schools in Lafayette Parish will  dismiss early.

Middle Schools Are Closing At: 930am

Elementary Schools Are Closing At: 10:30am

High Schools Are Closing At: Noon

In addition, St. Landry Parish and Evangeline Parish schools will close at noon today. In addition, St. Pius is closed.

Acadia parish schools are watching the weather, but classes will continue.
St. Mary Parish - First day of summer school, decision will be made in the next half hour.

Teurlings Catholic High Parents: If your student is unable to make it to TCH school today to take the exams, MAKE-UP exams will be given tomorrow (Thursday) at 10:15 in the library. If you cannot get out on Thursday, due to the weather, please email mheintz@tchs.net and copy: tcollado@tchs.net so your child's exam can be rescheduled.
