Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Deputy Picks Up Bride, Drives Her To Wedding

A local bride ended up in the back of a Lafayette Parish Sheriff's unit on her big day, but it was for all the right reasons.

Deputy Dustin Ardoin delivered bride-to-be Jeanne Nieweg to her wedding over the weekend after he came across their stalled trolly.

The bride's trolly got stuck in a ditch and when the responding deputy realized what happened, he did the best thing anyone could do---He got the bride-to-be to her wedding.

Sure, she may not have planned to arrive to her wedding in this fashion, but she made it. The wedding/reception reportedly happened at Acadian Village and thanks to Deputy Ardoin it went on without a glitch.

Congrats to Mr. Jamie Bourgeois and Mrs. Jeanne Nieweg-Bourgeois on your recent wedding. As for Deputy Ardoin, job well-done!!
