Laine Hardy Set to Perform National Anthem for Saints Game Sunday

As the Saints take on the Vikings this coming Sunday, there will be a familiar Baton Rouge native's face taking the lime light before kick-off. American Idol winner Laine Hardy has been tapped to sing the National Anthem before the game.

Hardy originally auditioned during season 16 of American Idol, but barely made it into the top 50. As he returned to season 17, he showed up to accompany fellow singer Ashton Gill, but with no intent to audition. Judges of season 17 began to encourage him to audition. Hardy made the audition, and later on won the entire thing as the season ended.

He is currently on tour with the American Idol Tour, and his next stop on the tour will be Jacksonville, Florida on February 29.
