Is Lamson Park, home of the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns, one the best softball stadium in the country?

Fans of the Cajuns, and fans of the sport of college softball, apparently think it is.

FloSoftball to determine the top college softball stadiums of 2019.

Over 7,000 votes were divided among 40 of the premier college softball stadiums in America.

Jane Sanders Stadium, home of the Oregon Ducks, was voted as the top softball venue, followed by Lamson Park.

Rhodes Stadium, home of the Alabama Crimson Tide, was voted the #3 softball stadium in the land, followed by LSU's Tiger Park and Texas A&M's Davis Diamond Stadium to round out the top five.

Originally known as Lady Cajun Park, the facility changed it’s name to Ragin’ Cajuns Softball Park in 2002, and then to Alfred and Helen Lamson Park in 2006.

Lamson Park did indeed go through a $2.1 million renovation from 2009-11.

Host to 11 NCAA Regionals, along with one NCAA Super Regional throughout it’s history, the Cajuns have compiled over 800 victories at Lamson Park, which opened in 1985

Back in 2017, in another national poll conducted by flosoftball.com, Lamson Park was voted the top softball venue in the country.
