Levi’s CEO Says Stop Washing Your Jeans, Now [VIDEO]
If you've been throwing your jeans in the wash along with the rest of your soiled laundry, the CEO of Levi's is saying to stop washing your denim immediately.
We're totally not kidding you right now.
Levi Strauss CEO Chip Bergh sat down recently with Fortune Magazine and says that when it comes to washing denim and cleaning the funk out of your jeans, the washing machine is NOT the place.
Bergh claims that he and his company is focused on being the best at "slow fashion" (aka long wear fashion) and lives by those words in a recent interview with Fortune magazine.
These are one of my favorite jeans. These jeans are maybe a year old and these have yet to see a washing machine. I know that sounds totally disgusting. I know it does. But believe me, you can spot clean it, you can air dry it and it is fine. I have yet to get a skin disease or anything else. It works
Naturally, a lot of people thinks that's pretty gross and believes that you should wash your denim in the machine because they would eventually stink. How often do you think your jeans need to be washed? Could you ever give up washing your jeans?
